  • What is Gleaners?
    We are a non-profit food share organization located in Oregon City. We are a member-based, team-oriented, all volunteer organization with the two main goals of feeding our community and reducing food waste.
  • Do I have to pay to join?
    Yes, the monthly membership fee is $35.00. This modest fee helps cover the organization's overhead costs.
  • How often do I receive food?
    You will receive food every week on the same day.
  • What are Emergency Food Boxes?
    Emergency food boxes are meant to help you through unexpected/temporary crisis situations. We will create a food box for you based on the size of your household, for free. You do not need to be a member to receive an emergency food box, but you must live within Clackamas County and bring proper identification and proof of address.
  • When can we get an Emergency Food Box?
    Emergency food boxes are distributed at the Warehouse Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 11:00 am. A household can receive an emergency food box twice per year. Gleaners’ members are not allowed to receive emergency food boxes.
  • Can I volunteer?
    Yes, absolutely! You don’t need to be a member to volunteer. However, to receive food, you must become a member.
  • Can I serve my Community Service Hours?
    Yes, this is an excellent opportunity to fulfill court-ordered hours while assisting our regular volunteers. For more email our volunteer coordinator at vc@gleanerscc.org or contact us at (503) 655-8740.
  • What are Gleaners’ hours of operation?
    Our hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 7:45am to approximately 3:00pm. We are closed on certain holidays.
  • Are you open during inclement weather?
    We match Oregon City School District for weather closures or late starts.
